What is POLYCET?
1. POLYCET means Polytechnic common entrance test
2.It is conducted by State Board of Technical
Education and Training,
1. Polytechnic course is a 3 years deploma course which has engineering and non
engineering courses.
3. It includes intermediate and a deploma in
engineering or non engineering.
4. After the completion of Polytechnic
deploma course you can join directly in
2nd year of B.Tec by get good rank in
ECET.
Eligibility & Syllabus and Patron :
1. To write POLYCET you have to be passed
10th class,(S.S.C.) Examination conducted
by State Board of Secondary Education,
Andhra Pradesh or telangana
2. Candidates who passes SSC equivalent
exams like Central Board of Secondary
Education(CBSE), Indian Council for
Secondary Education(ICSE), National
Institute of Open School (NIOS), A.P. Open
School Society (APOSS)…etc.
2. No age restrictions for POLYCET Exam
3. Syllabus for POLYCET is 10th standard
MATHEMATICS, physics, chemistry
4. MATHEMATICS – 60 marks
PHYSICS – 30 marks
CHEMISTRY – 30 MARKS
TOTAL – 120 MARKS
5. All questions are MCQs (multiple choice questions)
6. Candidate shall be an Indian National
Diploma Courses offered in Polytechnics:
There are 3 years and 3 1/2 years deploma course are there in polytechnic inboth AP & TS

1. Civil Engineering
2. Architectural Assistantship
3. Mechanical Engineering
4. Automobile Engineering
5. Electrical & Electronics Engg.(EEE)
6. Electronics & Communication Engineering
7. Computer Engineering
8. Information Technology(IT)
9. Mining Engineering
10. Applied Electronics & Instrumentation
11. Chemical Engg. (SW)(Sugar Technology)
12. Commercial and Computer Practice
13. Garment Technology
Above 13 courses are in both AP & TS
14. Refrigeration and Air conditioning
15. Petroleum Technology
16. Petro Chemical Technology
Above 3 Courses of 3Years Duration (Only for Andhra Pradesh)
