Basara IIIT college was under maintenance of Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT ) it is a deemed university. Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies Basara was located in holly land of goddess saswathi (goddess of knowledge ) in Nirmal district, Telangana.
RAJIV GANDHI UNIVERSITY OF KNOWLEDGE TECHNOLOGIES (RGUKT) has been established by the Government of erstwhile combined Andhra Pradesh in 2008, and the Basar Campus has been taken over by the Government of Telangana, after due amendment of the Rajiv Gandhi University for Knowledge Technologies Act, 2008.
Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies Basara campus set in 272 acres of land with all facilities to the students. Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies Basara follows ICT teaching for their students, their educational model that is intensely ICT based
.
ICT means Information and Communication Technology, they teaches the students through PPT presentations, Work and projects through google forms in laptop. A HP laptop will be given to every student in first year of course.
The campus has a bank, ATM, Shopping Complex, post office, primary health center etc. In the campus there is also indoor and outdoor recreational facilities, well equipped gymnasium, courts for basketball, badminton, table tennis, cricket, other sports and games.
There is a library with above 1 lakh books and there is digital library also there in the campus, it is very useful to the students to gain knowledge
There is a anti – ragging squared in the campus which gives new students a support and creats fearless environment in the whole campus.

In Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies Basara houses about 6000 students along with 250 faculty members and 120 support staff within its campus. The residential university comprises of Academic blocks with more than 140 ICT equipped classrooms, well – equipped laboratories, libraries with more than 1,00,000 volumes, boys’ and girls’ hostels and mess blocks that provide quality and nutritious food.
There is Women Protection Cell in RGUKT campus which empowering and orienting women to recognize their true potential and to help them attain their own stand in a competing world. Its goal is the overall development in all spheres of their life. The main aim of the Women cell in RGUKT is to look into any complaint filed by students and staff about women grievances at the university level.
The functions of the cell are purely to safeguard the rights of female students, faculty and staff members and also to provide a platform for listening the complaints. The cell also tries to incorporate hygiene habits and ensure healthy atmosphere in and around the campus
Courses Offered in 6-Year Integrated B.Tech Program
The 6-Year Integrated Engineering course is divided in to the following two categories:
a) Pre University Course (2 years): M.P.C course will be offered with following subjects:

e. Telugu / Sanskrit (Sanskrit will be offered for non Telugu students those who have not studied second language as Telugu)
b) B.Tech (4 years): Following streams will be offered

Annual Fee:
a) The tuition fee for the candidates who studied in Schools situated in Telangana & Andhra Pradesh States is Rs.37,000/- per annum (It includes Rs.500/- examination fee per semester).
b) Students who are eligible for tuition fee reimbursement as per the guidelines issued by the respective State Governments need not pay the tuition fee (Students who belong to the categories of SC,ST whose annual parental income is Rs. Two Lakhs or below and BC, EBC Students whose parental income is Rs. One lakh or below and who fulfill the other conditions as per the latest Govt. rules are eligible for fee reimbursement).
